Jeanette Goode

Artist and writer Jeanette Goode lives on the West Coast of the South Island, next to a penguin colony where the kororā, little blue penguins, have their burrows.

After a 30-year career in the film industry, she decided to follow her passion for children’s literature and began writing and illustrating books for children. In 2006 she graduated from Canterbury University with a Diploma in Children’s Literature.

A Little Blue is the first book in a series created by Jeanette about the threatened species of Aotearoa New Zealand. A Little Blue is endorsed by the West Coast Penguin Trust, with a donation from every sale of every book going toward conservation and protection of kororā, the little blue penguins.
