Mary-anne Scott was born in Hastings, into a large family of nine children. Her mother, Joy Watson, authored the award-winning Grandpa’s Cardigan series.
Reading and music were her main interests as she grew up and everyone in the family learned at least two instruments. She is an avid reader, a guitarist and singer and writes a weekly column for Stuff News.
Mary-anne has authored six novels for young adults and children, and now lives in Havelock North.
