Guardian of the Gryphons is the first book in the League of Wildlings series. In these books, children from around the world join together to unlock their special gifts in order to protect their own homes and the mystical world of Lyra.
A great book for children transitioning from picture books to chapter books or a quick and easy read over a couple of nights for adults reading to little ones. This chapter book has twelve illustrations throughout.
A parent says ~ “Held the attention of a dreamer. Wonderful book for my 8yr old daughter, she usually reads and says ‘I can’t remember’ when asked ‘what did you read?’, with this book though she kept running up to me all excited to tell me exactly what was happening and how exciting it was, in details. I’m amazed. She loved this book so much and read it in 2 days ending with “Thank you mummy so much for buying this for me” she said, wow! Please release additional volumes.”
A grandparent says ~ “Read it myself first. Found some of the ideas similar to the CS Lewis collection, of which I am a fan.I worried that some of the concepts would be beyond my 5 and 8 year old grand- daughters. I had attempted reading CS Lewis to the 8 year old earlier but worried that it was a little over her head, so decided to finish it later. Your story was right up her alley- she is just beginning to understand the notion of a portal. The 5 year old became engrossed as I read it aloud to her sister, and when we had finished it, brought it back to me read it to her again. So congratulations on your retake of some fantastic favourites from my teaching days that are more suitable for younger children.”
