Do you have a Messy-o-saurus living at your house?
Maybe you have some Snivelling Snoo-galas, or their friends, the Bouncing Boo-galas!
Children will be captivated with the wild imaginings of this dinosaur-loving protagonist. She blames made up creatures, like the Messy-o-saurus and the Two-horned Trumpeting Sea Rompster, for the mess she’s making around the house.
Using clever illustrative narrative effect it’s not obvious who the real Messy-o-saurus is … until the very end!

Aimed for readers aged 1-5 years, Messy-o-saurus is a highly visual, super fun book with playful-sounding words that’s sure to be an on-repeat bedtime read for lots of little messy-o-sauruses up and down New Zealand.
This is Rachel’s fifth independently published children’s book in three years. It follows on from her popular picture book Bumblebee (2021) and her continuing sought-after first book Bumblebees Have Smelly Feet (2019). Rachel home-schooled her three, now grown, children for ten years where reading books was at the heart of their schooling. During that time, Rachel confesses, there was lots of mess!

WhatBookNext.com ~ There is something going on in a little girl’s house. Her mum is finding lots of mess. There is paint on the floor, and biscuit crumbs on the floor. When Mum asks who made the mess, her small daughter blames it all on messy monsters. In another room, there is mud on the walls and even more mess down the hall.
“Did the Mess-o-Saurus do this?” asks Mum again and again. But the wee girl has an answer and an explanation. Her imagination knows no bounds as she describes the messy monsters that have been visiting.
After many rooms that have had messy monsters drop by, the truth is finally revealed.
Great for building young imaginations, but watch out if your wee one begins blaming your own visiting messy monsters! With fun, colourful illustrations and friendly smiling monsters on nearly every page, little ones will enjoy the wordplay and rhyme of this new story by this dynamic New Zealand duo, Rachel Weston and Scott Tulloch. Something to search and find too – can you see the Messy-o-saurus, never far away?
