Reviews
KidsBooksNZ ~ The novel explores the importance of standing up for yourself, challenging sexual harassment and bullying, and accepting yourself for who you are. A gripping, authentic read that will appeal strongly to surf-life saving and surfing teenagers. My 26-year-old daughter, who grew up in that world, would love it too.
Sarah Johnson writes with authenticity and insight, capturing surf culture so convincingly that it’s clear she knows the world well. That’s no surprise, as she lives in Raglan, one of New Zealand’s surfing capitals.
