Pipi and Pou and the Haunted Forest

‘You’re not going in there, are ya?’ the man queried.
‘The wharepaku?’ Pou frowned, eyeing the toilets.
‘No—the forest.’ the old man said, pointing at the trees with a trembling hand. ‘You’d be mad to go in there. I wouldn’t go near the place if I were you.’
‘Is that because it’s haunted?’ Pipi asked, with a friendly grin.
The elder’s face turned red. ‘It’s no joke missy,’ he growled.

Nan has been talking to a butterfly, and the news isn’t good for any of our trio of environmental warriors.
