KidsBooksNZ ~ Counting fun at the beach. Teachers could use the book to introduce subtraction, while parents of younger children can help familiarise their children with counting and number recognition. The artwork bursts with summery colour — yellows, blues, and reds — and the children’s expressive faces bring the beach adventure to life. Young readers will enjoy spotting and naming the many details in the illustrations, from crabs and oystercatchers to shells of different shapes.
