In the next door garden they were digging out a drain when the weather turned quite nasty and it poured and poured with rain.
The garden got so muddy that the little digger stuck,
So they sent in another digger and it was really bad luck,
That it slid upon the mud in the wind and the rain, and fell upon its side in the half-dug drain.
Since the publication of the first story more than 30 years ago, the much-loved stories about the Little Yellow Digger have spanned generations of readers to become classics.
This delightful hardback treasury comprises the original five Little Yellow Digger stories by Betty and Alan Gilderdale and features a special note from the author.
