Who’s on Pole?

From Highlands to Hampton Downs, Bathurst to Silverstone, race weekend buzz begins with three little words: who’s on pole?

Join in the countdown and meet the crazy characters and racing machinery making the line-up from 10 to 1. A favourite with the littlest motoring fans, with rhymes and rhythms for a fun wee read they’ll learn off by heart.

“Who’s on three?
Bumble Bee
and flying free!”

“He didn’t spin
He has the pace,
But will he win?
Let’s start the race!

Red light…
Red light…
Red light…

They’re off and reading… I mean, racing!

Inspired by her family’s motorsport adventures, Dunedin writer Monica Graham has made three motoring/motorsport picture books. This is the second, illustrated with her simple woodcut drawings of animal characters in a variety of racing marques and other vehicles. From 2CV, MX5 and tractor, to Bugatti, Porsche and Jaguar. It is most enjoyed by under fives and has received wonderful feedback from Kiwi motorsport families at home and across the world.

Note: A5 size book, ideal for smaller hands to hold and turn the pages.
