What Book Next – “A gorgeous picture book savouring the natural wonders of an Aotearoa New Zealand Summer through a child’s eyes”
A child’s curiosity shines from the very cover itself of this hardback picture book – inviting readers inside to see what there is to discover…
Open the book and find an open door with the view of a Summer garden.
The garden glimpse promises something wonderful as butterflies flit among the flowers, and apples are abundant on a tree
Where wild things grow free….?Â
Through long grass and tiny flowering paths, a sea breeze tickles the petals and the child’s cheeks.
There is no haste or hurry in this full-colour picture book, as the child lies in the grass hoping a butterfly will settle on an outstretched fingertip.
A forest awaits, away from the sun, with extended arms holding beautiful native birds, also enjoying the Summer.
Sparking imagination, a bird reaches out with an invitation to share the sky and more Summer marvels, showing the child home again.
